Excellent germination, this is my first year growing Italian bush beans but I am so glad I did as they are doing wonderfully and are making the long wait for my pole beans to produce (in this intensely hot summer) so much more bearable. The Capitano are thickly primarily planted in a 4 x 5 raised bed where they are supporting themselves nicely, meaning that they are standing up to their own weight and not all falling over as experienced with other varieties of bush beans I’ve grown. They stand out against the green leaves, for ease of harvesting. They look so good and alluring and I was so excited when they first came on that I could not help myself from picking them when they were really so small considering how large Romas can grow. My children have been doing the same, they are so delicious and irresistible just raw in the garden! I’ve since decided to exercise my self control and wait for them to reach their potential. Will cook up the first harvest tonight and looking forward to the next batch of bigger meatier sweeter juicier Roma beans!

Great yield , great taste , pod stayed tender longer than other verities planted at the same time . Best yellow bean yet !

Disappointed

Looked for an Italian bush bean everywhere. They were all sold out until I found Territorial at the last minute to plant. Unfortunately my germination rate was less that 50%. At first I assumed it was our cold spring here in Ashland. I replanted 3 times and the same each time. Currently have 10 plants in various stages and numerous flowers and 3 bean pods. I'll let you know what happens later this summer.
