I spent more than six months reviewing leg press combination machines before finally deciding I wanted a dedicated leg press that felt close to the commercial ones I'd used in gyms. The LP01 is just that and I'm not sure why it doesn't get more love in the home gym world. The largest footplate I could find in a made for home use set up and a reasonably small footprint meant it works great for this 64 year old lifter's garage gym. I even sold my belt squat to buy this. The only negative was some fairly poor packaging which meant some of the edges of the pieces were scuffed and some surface rust on the chrome safeties from having been in a warehouse for months I'm guessing. For the money I'd recommend this to anyone fed up with squats! Just have to buy more plates now...

Putting together the leg press machine was fairly easy and took roughly 2 1/2 hours. My wife and I find the machine very comfortable and easy to use. The position of the foot plate has a nice angle, although the ability to adjust the angle would be great. The only issue we found was the smoothness of the sled. It tends to be loud and not very smooth. We applied lubricant to the rails. This helped to some degree add a more smooth motion and a bit quieter. All in all a very good purchase for the price.

Spectacular. Smooth as any leg press machine I’ve used in commercial gyms over the past 30 years. It far surpassed my expectations, given the price.
