Close to Elite
I waited to post a review after using the machine in multiple workouts. My personal specs for clarity - I am 6'3" 275lbs and have over 20 years of gym experience, including working as a collegiate personal trainer.
Shipping and packaging is on par with the big boys. Which means, it leaves some room for improvement. I understand shipping heavy equipment is tough, but all fitness companies need to step up their game. That being said, this arrived the best out of all of the equipment I've gotten, and I have equipment ranging from shop made, to top of the line.
Assembly was pretty simple but I work with my hands. Someone who does not might have some difficulty. The only thing that made it confusing and frustrating for me is that multiple pieces were mislabeled, mis-measured, or didn't match the instructions. If you have experience doing similar things, you can figure it out.
The machine itself is beautiful if you see beauty in such things. The red finish pops and it looks professional. Though, that being said, there are multiple dings and scratches across the whole piece, which is unfortunate. I hate buying something brand new and it arriving in a shape which looks like I'm not the original owner.
Function. Leg extensions are top tier. Full ROM and plenty of space for enough weight to make your reps challenging. Leg curls feel good from bottom ROM to about 98% flexion, at which point resistance seems to drop off. This may be because of my height. However, 98% is sufficient and, in my experience and opinion, equivalent to 99% of all leg curl machines on the market.
This thing is solid and, in my home gym, I expect it to last for life. A one and done purchase. Time will tell. I had one issue with initial use, which seems to me was a manufacturing defect but, admittedly, could have happened in transit. I will never know. I was able to fix it myself, and it seems they are making it right, if I didn't wait to long to respond. Thanks for coming to my TED talk.
