Olympic Weight Plate Sets

So I went back and wanted to expand a home gym and put my preacher curl bench with a few barbells and plates upstairs I didn’t wanna get stupid with it. I just need a small set up so I went back to my standard …Barbell Standard, of course, and ordered a small set of plates. Well like with anything concerning Barbell Standard and ordering plates ….ones too many and a thousand is not enough ….so one box of plates turned into three boxes of plates 2 boxes of 40lb sets and a four pack of 2.5 lbs….. shipping is fast packaging is good unfortunately the carrier that delivers my particular items isn’t that great, so you can imagine my surprise when I got one of my packages and it looked like hell …but other than a slight scuffing and a little bit of marr …they are OK. Like anybody else I wanted to blame Barbell Standard and they’re packing and shipping but that’s not them. It is the carrier…. As always, Barbell Standard has very good plates for an excellent price. I like the fact that they are powder coated not bake enamel …I own a wall of baked enamel plates and they’re really nice very economical, but I also carry a pack of black sharpie markers to cover up the scratches and chips in the plates constantly ….the powder coated plates….Don’t do that. They’re a bit more durable a lot more forgiving ….so I really don’t know where to go with this review other than showing you a few pictures of a small set up I’m working on and telling you that you should buy from Barbell Standard for the simple fact …they’re a are a great company and the shipping department is really good at what they do….now don’t get me wrong. I’ve had a few issues with them …..like everybody else, but Customer service made it right so no matter our squabbles it’s like family you fight you make up you move on I’ll continue to buy from them and I’ll promote whatever I can for them because I believe in helping out the smaller companies I don’t want to keep giving my money to the major conglomerate and I sure as hell don’t want Amazon to take over the world so do yourself a favor and buy from Barbell Standard because you deserve it .

180 lb Olympic weight plate set

So I ordered the Olympic weight plate set on the 12th and it arrived promptly on the 14 th. The weights are accurate. My only problem is on almost every weight plate there’s some powder coat chipping. I don’t think that my weight plates can arrive in ultra-perfect condition but I’m also not a fan of the chipping. One of my 100lb plates is a more egregious case with what I think was rust(last pic - will add better pic to my 100lb plate review). Without the chipping I’d give my purchase 5 stars

These weights are really great quality - I was on the fence but am glad I went with these. They look great and have consistent weight tolerance. Shipping was super fast and they were packaged well. Highly recommend.
