Good Program - Too generalised
Going through this program has been a journey. I am not one who typically did squats and deadlifts, but this program has been a decent introduction to power building. My issue is the way the program is presented to a person. The preparatory material gives a lot of good information and links videos on technique for the heavy exercises. However, these are just videos made by Jeff that shows techniques that work for his build. Consequently, I have struggled to get my squatting technique right and couldn't figure out why I was having trouble with this. Only recently I have found out that I have very long upper-legs, proportionally. Here I thought the problem was on my side, and no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't follow Jeff's video on squatting. But actually there was no info on this in the video or the guide. I feel this is could be a great programme, but these programmes aren't tailored enough to justify the price. I live in South Africa, the price of these programmes are very high here. Thus, I expected this programme to aid me in perfecting my technique for these exercises that this guide is built around. But unfortunately, it was just a training split that I bought for a high price. I don't want people to buy this guide, thinking it will be a perfect programme to follow to become strong and look good. Rather I think this guide is a good starting point for finding an effective programme that works for them. Don't expect everything to be covered here, even though you paid a premium to get it. See this as a split programme, as it doesn't have enough content to be called a guide. You'll still need to look up some exercises and their techniques that you've probably never done before. That's how it was for me.
