It works great! And i love the whistle sounds like a train almost. And the cups are sturdy couldnt be happier with this purchase.

Kettle leaks from the lid while pouring

The mugs are a great weight and keep beverages warm. The thermometer in the kettle is a great idea— I never knew I had been using water that was too hot for green tea! The brushed finish on the kettle lets you use an abrasive pad to remove oil that splatters from an adjacent burner without risk of damaging the kettle’s finish. It looks great on our cooktop. Water does not “burp” when it is poured, contrary to my experience with some other kettles.
