Ceado E6C Chameleon Coffee Grinder

Excellent grind quality, workflow is so-so

I don't have experience with other "high end" grinders. I purchased this grinder specifically to make espresso with. While the grind quality is good and can be easily tuned, I don't like the workflow overall. A huge selling point for me was that the grinder is good at not retaining any ground coffee. However, while that is true, it does take some effort. The design of the hopper is such that a few beans WILL get stuck in the front of the hopper. Consequently, I have turn off the grinder, stick a finger in the hopper to shake the beans towards the back of the hopper, and then turn it on again. Also, the grinder does not ship with a hopper cover. Sometimes a bean will fly out of the hopper. A few things, IMO, will make this a 5-star machine. A hopper lid that will automatically turn off the grinder when opened would greatly benefit the workflow and solve most current issues. Needing to use the bellows to get the last bit of ground coffee out is fine. I do LOVE the fact that there are no fancy electronics / touch screens, etc. so I'm hoping that will regular maintenance & cleaning, I'll get decades of use from it. Unless I get tired of the routine associated with sticking a finger into the hopper and decide to return it for something a little less annoying.

Fantastic grinder

I love it. Great results and quiet. Easy to adjust. This is a switch from Baratza conical burr grinders to flat. I am really appreciating the results--and so much quieter. This is my first single dose coffee grinder and possibly my last, since it may well outlast me. I began weighing freshly roasted coffee doses and storing each in glass vials from Amazon. Sealed vials don't let oxygen in and dosing is done in advance. Super easy. The grinds left inside are shockingly low!!! After using several times per day for a month, I opened it up presumably to clean it inside. There was literally nothing to clean up. Possibly a very few stray bits of coffee grinds, that's all. The chute does gradually get a build up, but it's lifts right out to clean. However, I rarely bother to do so since the grinds seem to stay in place.

Product was packaged well for protection and arrived fast from WLL! The grinder is built like a tank. I have been using it only for a couple of days but can already tell the difference from my previous conical grinder. My pour over is resulting in a very balanced cup. As the new burrs get used over time, I expect great results. I am ecstatic.
