Time will tell
So far so good. Once I’ve had one in the tank for a couple months per the instructions I will pull out the boiler and see how it’s doing. It floats upwards, but I only keep the tank half full. Also, be sure to rinse it first because I just threw it in and when I cleaned the tank there was a little bit of grit at the bottom. If you clean the machine you have to time it so you don’t get any untreated water in it, also remember to fill the tank the night before. The pitcher would be easier but it’s very hard to recycle plastic filters in the US. Since brita makes reusable water filters they should make them for this too.

BWT
Seems good, but I won’t know for a while until it either needs descaling, or not.

No change in water condition
Using two different electronic water testers I record no difference between the tap water (190TDS in ppm) used to fill the water tank and the190 TDS ppm) of the water in the tank after two days. I may be using the product incorrectly but will find another way to protect boiler and water system. .
