Excellent Knife with a Caveat

This knife needs two ratings. It's a five-star knife for presentation but a four star for functionality. The blade is a beauty with great specs--HRC of 66, 132 layers of Damascus cladding, 12 degree 50/50 double bevel. The ash stained maple handle also looks great. This knife looks so good it has a prized place on my knife rack. Unfortunately--and I'm not the first commentator to point this out--the handle is too small. It makes the knife hard to control with the precision that would come with a slightly larger, longer handle. I consider it a design flaw. (I have several 3 1/2 inch and 4 inch paring knifes with more substantial handles.) To me that justifies an overall four-star rating.

Amazing

Absolutely beautiful knife the detailing is stunning . Definitely my new favorite prep knife. It is a well balanced amazing knife.

Razor sharp

It’s a relatively small knife but its sharpness is intimidating. It beautiful and useful at the same time. The steel is one of the hardest available, and it shows it in its edge.
