My favorite new all around knife
I replaced my 5.5" Shun Classic santoku with this larger version and I am so happy I did. It is a little heavier, which actually translates to less downward effort from me. The additional length of the blade gives me a little larger sweet spot for chopping.

Love this knife
My first venture with the Japanese knives and it's been a wonderful experience. It tells me not to chop but to slice. The smallest bell pepper bits and celery bits I've ever been able to sauté. I think I'm in love.
