Great little grinder. Love the pop of color. Ceado has nailed having the grinds shoot out in a clean stream to the portafilter. Love watching it. The all plastic body leaves a bit to be desired in the finish department. The plastic panels dont fit super tight.

Solid, low key high performer
I’m happy with the Life X. It’s a solid, weighty build in a compact brick-like shape. I like the simplicity of the form, it’s a low key workhorse. The Moka color works well with my Fellow ES1 color, too. I specifically wanted a grinder with a bean hopper, but have used the single dose kit to grind decaf. I also used single doses when dialing in. Once dialed in, the grinder generates fluffy grinds with consistent quantities after setting the time (for the coffee I’m using a 13. 4 second grind yields 18g, with . 1-. 2g). The controls are simple and easy to use: it’s easy to adjust the time for the presets, and the manual grind button can be configured to touch-to-start/second-touch-to-stop or press-and-hold-to-grind, release to stop. You can easily pause and resume a preset grind if needed. My initially delivered grinder was damaged in transit; WLL shipped a second unit quickly and the return process was easy.

Great grind but some design flaws
The grind quality on the Life X is really good creating a great grind for drip coffee (my primary purpose) however this grinder does have 2 issues that really hinder the workflow process. 1. When using the hopper it will randomly stop feeding beans for a few seconds. The beans get jammed and you have to tap the side to unfree them. 2. The dosing cup has to be held by the 2 holder arms but you can’t just set the cup there and start the grinder. The vibrations of the grinder will cause the cup to fall off causing grind to go everywhere. You can’t lift the arms up to help put a little pressure and hold it in place, however in practice the cup still has a tendency to want to wiggle loose. This would’ve a near perfect grinder with these two issues resolved.
