Cowboy Garlic Beef Jerky

Expected a lot more garlic and much better chew

The Cowboy Garlic sounded like it would be right up my alley (as I love a good garlic jerkey), but unfortunately it was another disappointment from my order. For something marketed around garlic, I expected a much stronger, more savory garlic flavor. Instead, I found the seasoning pretty muted and forgettable. The texture was an even bigger issue. Thickness varied dramatically throughout the bag, from very thin pieces to much thicker pieces, and there was very little consistency in the chew. Some pieces actually broke down almost immediately while chewing and had a dry, crumbly, almost sandy texture. Jerky is one of my favorite snacks and I spend a significant amount on it every year, so I’ve had plenty of different styles and brands to compare against. I rarely leave reviews, but since M&S specifically asked for feedback, I wanted to be honest. Unfortunately, this did not come close to meeting my expectations.

There's more to like

I thought Old West Jerky was good but I really like the Cowboy Garlic Beef Jerky. Just enough garkic flavor. Will be buying more for sure.

New product so constructive criticism. The garlicky taste is there. Needs a tad more of that and overall more salt but otherwise it’s good beef jerky.
