Classic P

What a tone!

I heard great things about Tonerider pickups for years, but I honestly wasn't expecting them to be as good as they are. I will definitely be back if I need to purchase pickups for any guitars in the future. My only regret is not buying the one with the staggered pole pieces since I have a smaller radius neck, but that's just a personal aesthetic preference.

Warm, punchy and clear

I installed these in a cheap P-style bass that I upgraded and, as usual, was very happy with the results due to the quality of Tonerider's products. I haven't played a P-bass live, with my usual live basses having good quality soapbars in them, but my experience with this project and my previous one convince me I should! Both this warm classic P and the subtly punchier The Duke P pickup from Tonerider cut through the mix when played finger style and growl nicely when you dig in or use a pick. You may find the need to ground the bottom of the poles, using a hack with copper foil, to reduce hum, as I did, but as usual I couldn't be happier with the quality of the pickups for the money or the level of service from Tonerider!!

Just fitted a set of the Classic P and the improvement in tone is mind blowing. Completely bought the Bass to life and made it sound AND feel another level. Great quality and the greatest value for money out there. I'm a fan!
