Firepower

Great like all Toneriders!

Was looking for a set of pickups for my Jackson Juggernaut. I have tried pretty much every one of Toneriders pickups except these. Was a little worried about how hot they were but was pleasantly surprised. These are absolutely brutal with a lot of clarity, but at the same time sound great clean.

Firepower, as hot as Hell

As a player of 35 years plus I consider myself a self confessed tone snob. But I've always liked every Tonerider pickup I've tried. I even met the guys from Tonerider recently at the Birmingham guitar show and heaped praise on their products. Now these Firepower humbuckers aren't for the fainthearted. Very hot with lots of output. I put them in a PRS 245 single cut for some heavy rock tones and they do excell at this. But they'll do a fair clean too. I'm still getting used to them but so far so good. The other guitar player in my band said how good they sounded through my Mesa Rectifier head. There's something for everyone in the range and I doubt you'd be able to tell them apart from some of the other and far more expensive pickup brands. New Ibanez guitar needed BETTER pickups

I recently purchased a new Ibanez Gio GRGR221FA-TDK, YES a cheap ibanez.. There was no issues with this chinese made guitar, well made, setup was good, no fret buzz, no fret rockers, no fret sprout, you'd think it was a more expensive RG. The only issue what i had was that the pickups that it came with were weak. I googled the guitar and it said the IBZ-6 pickups were high output, this was not the case. They were equivalent to P.A.F. pickups. This guitar looks like a metal machine, but output from the stock pickups were terrible. Now that i've bought the Tonerider Firepower set this has made the guitar sound like a totally different guitar, and more pleasant to the ear. This guitar with these pickups on, are good with drive as well as clean sounds coil split as well. I Highly recommend these pickups for metal.
