Broke after a year

I loved the look of this basket and wanted something on my Pace 500. It was great for holding what I needed, but after a year it the wood completely broke. I should have gone with something completely metal. Really disappointed with this basket. I never overloaded it and always kept it protected in my garage. To be honest I also was really disappointed in my Aventon Pace 500 bike as well. Just after a year the kickstand broke on it. I was excited about the Aventon brand in general, but it's been a huge letdown.

I like it just wish the basket was a bit bigger
