5 string viola string set

Well, it wasn't a set since I had to order E string separately but I now have an E string that goes with the other set of four strings. I used a violin E which was okay. Now I have a matched set so to speak. Everything sounds nice. I'll use these strings from now on.

I purchased a Fiddlershop 16.5" Concert Viola and started taking lessons. About 5 months into it, I decided to try some new strings. I ordered these and another set. I installed these first, while my instructor watched on camera (distance learning) and once installed, I spent about 30 minutes just making noise, double stops, long , short, fast and slow bowings while continually making sure they stayed in tune. WOW, what a difference, the sound in much clearer, louder, and easier to play. The whole instrument resonates now and you can feel it in your hands. I'm sold, at some point I'll buy some more expensive string and see if I can tell if there is a difference.
