Tool rest review
Similar to the rest of the kodiak sharpening system the tool rest is well built and does exactly what it says it will do. I prefer this rest over the wolverine rest cause of the ease of changing the angles plus the angles being marked with a positive stop to get a good repeatable grind.

Almost thought of everything
I use this on my Wolverine jig. To make it work I had to move the locking base units back 3/4” - no big deal. I love how the platform maintains the gap between platform and grinding wheel as you change the angle. Only issue I’ve seen that at higher angles the locking mechanism interferes with the grinder if you are using it on the right wheel where I usually place my platform. It’s really designed to be used on the left side only.

Tool Rest
Finally had a chance to use the Tool Rest, now that I am in Fl. It integrates perfectly with the Kodiak sharpening system, even when using the wolverine locking guides from my previous sharpening system. The tool rest preforms very well at supporting both Kitchen knives for sharpening and wood chisels. When used with the horizontal skew guide or the vertical one, I was able to sharpen my skew for wood turning. I recommend the four in one CBN wheel when using the vertical sharpening guide for skew sharpening
