I got them set up within about 1/2 an hour and a week later the cats are no longer fighting to get the same bowl of food. Worth the cost for sure. Now one of the cats can graze throughout the day without fearing the other will scarf it all up

Love it so far! It’s not too loud so it didn’t scare my cat, and it does a great job at keeping the other cat at bay. The only issue that occured was a slight misfunction at beginning where it would read my cat at an intruder and close on her (which caused her to briefly have minor trust issue with it), but re-registering her microchip worked perfectly well. I’ve only used it in open mode so far because she is still getting used to it, but I am very happy with this purchase!

Works well and I love it, but could still improve

I've had this for a couple weeks now and overall, I love having this as it makes feeding my food obsessed cats so much easier. I'm using it purely as a microchip reader as my 3 year old cat never tolerated a collar. It works perfectly for my 4 month old kitten and he figured it out quickly. It generally works for my larger/taller 3 year old cat, but not every time. He really has to stick his head in to get it to open and he doesn't always get it. I raised his up on a couple books so his shoulders are a little more even with the chip reader and that seemed to help. Just like all new technology I think it could be improved. It seems like a common issue is microchip not reading, likely because they can't stick their head in far enough. I think if there were an option for a longer entrance it would help it more consistently read the chips in larger cats or if the microchip happens to be a little further back. With my larger/taller cat's head all the way in, it seems to just be enough to read it. If he had room to stick his head in further I think it would read better. I'll have to come back and review again after I've had it for longer to see how it holds up!
