Works well but requires more ongoing maintenance than expected

This is the first time I'm using a water fountain for my cats. I purchased it because it's wireless. Most other fountains require an electric plug-in which is not feasible for the way my kitchen is laid out. So far, it is working well and my cat who drinks water is using it. However, after receiving it and setting it up, I discovered that it requires a fair amount of regular maintenance which I hadn't anticipated. Also, because the unit is placed on the floor, I can't see when the water levels are getting low and need replenishing. I wish it had a wider window or another easy to see indicator for both water levels and battery status.

Good, gets slimy clean out every 3 days and my cat doesn’t like drinking from, trying as suggested from representative and see if it works.
