It's a sturdy, well built, heavy cat tree.
Four hundred bucks for a cat tree? Yikes.
OK, now I understand. I feel like it's absolutely worth it. The cat seems to like it as well. She was already attempting to climb it before I had the wicker baskets placed on it, and I didn't even open the catnip bag.
The bolts and washers are substantial. Even the Allen wrench is bigger than any other wrench that I've used to assemble furniture. The base is truly a two-hander to lift. Everything included is solid, and big enough to last for years.
It took about a half hour for my curious cat to reach the top basket, and she seemed impressed that she could look down upon us from her bed. After some careful investigation, she took a nap. Our cat is on the bigger side, and the basket held her nicely, without any cat parts hanging over the edge.
We've had the Ivy for about a month now. We've found that if we spin it 180 degrees, our fat cat can really stretch up to scratch without being worried about losing her balance and falling backwards against the wall like she did before we turned it. I wish the label on the base was also applied to the opposite corner. So far everything is great.
Anyway, thanks for great service. I imagine I will be in touch to order replacement parts as they get destroyed. See less
