Wow!
I planted them last year and they all germinated and did incredibly well. Im in the low desert near Phoenix and i just put them under a medium-small mesquite with sandy/clay soil and barely supplemented them with water. I was surprised with how drought tolerant they are.

Blue Flax
I've found that no matter when Blue Flax seed is thrown out, it comes up when the season begins to cool down, fall time. They are delicate with fragile looking stem and leaf structure but are plenty tough and add a special spark of blue in the landscape.
