Prosciutto di Parma 24 Months Gold Label Boneless DOP

The prosciutto is very tasty and trying out different pairings has been very interesting. The one big flaw I found was the packaging. Nowhere on the box does it provide any type of warning that the product is perishable or that it needs to be refrigerated. I was not able to open the package for 11 days and so I kept it in a room that varies from 68° to 72° most of time. I finally opened the package yesterday (03/29/2026) and only then did I see there is notice advising that the product be kept refrigerated. This is VERY DISAPPOINTING!!! At a very bare minimum, I would expect that a product that is perishable and costs over $400.00 would arrive in packaging that warms the customer of the need to refrigerate. Labeling a package with a warning is very inexpensive however, replacement of this product is not. For this reason I can only rate this product as neutral. Respectfully, Daniel
