Erin Skirt for my daughter
She loves this skirt. Thank you so much. The pattern came together in under 3 hours from cutting to wearing.

Easy clever skirt
I made this for my daughter who is six months pregnant and she loves it. It’s a great work-wear piece.

Maternity essential!
I’ve made two Erins in the midi length - perfect for transitional spring dressing when you’re 7 months’ pregnant and fed up of wearing the same two pairs of maternity jeans all winter! For the first, I sized up based on previous reviews I’d read that this pattern comes up tight, but found that while that made the bump area nice and comfy, the skirt was a little baggy under the bump and around the lower hip area. I added a split at the back to make it easier to walk which, while practical, did distort the line of the skirt a little and it flares at the bottom. I used a quilted jersey for this version which had enough stretch and conveniently disguises knicker lines! For the second skirt I graded to a smaller size at the hip and kept the split. Using a firmer ponte roma knit this time meant the line of the skirt was smoother/less flared despite the split, and the whole skirt was a more snug fit and really hugs the bump. I feel like I might be able to modify these skirts post-pregnancy to keep wearing them, which would be a win as hate the idea of only getting two months’ wear out of these. They’re already wardrobe work horses.
