Hovea Jacket & Coat Pattern

So many patterns in one!

As a new sewists I was a little intimidated looking through this pattern but after spending some time with it, it has become such a reliable and versatile pattern! Definitely worth adding to your pattern library!

Modern and well thought-out pattern

I decided to make the Hovea cropped jacket version out of a store-bought quilted bedspread. The instructions are spot-on and the quality of the pattern, perfect. I am very pleased with the outcome, and so is my daughter.

Nice Pattern, very adjustable

The best thing about Megan Nielsen patterns is the the ways they can be easily adjusted. The sew-a-longs and pattern hacks are great for sparking the imagination. I made pattern E. Added a hood (easy) and a zipper (less easy but doable with patience) and ended up with a new winter coat. The only slight downside is that the coat is quite boxy and with drop sleeve I couldn't determin how tailor it to make it more slim fit.
