Tavi Shorts PDF Sewing Pattern B-M

Overall - nice casual shorts with great options included! I made my first pair out of quick dry nylon woven for knocking around the river/lake. There’s some cotton-linen blend already earmarked for a daily wear pair. Size chart was accurate. Welt pocket instructions were clearer than many I’ve seen; a true beginner may want to skip them, but someone patient and practiced enough to mark accurately and stitch straight lines should be successful (…try on scraps first though) The leg openings on the larger sizes are generous. For a sportier look, more like the diagrams, you may need to make some adjustments as they skew a little “culottes” rather than sitting close to the thigh (individual anatomy dependent, of course). Only critique I have is the back welt positioning in the larger sizes is (proportionately) close to the center back seam instead of more centered on the cheek. This may have been a design choice, but I keep “missing” the pocket when putting my phone away because it’s in an odd spot - I’ll be changing that for my next pair.
