THe only improvemnt to this perfect skillet would be a matching lid.
THis is a beautiful skillet-I would say that it easily exceeds expectations. Basically non stick out of the box. Completely non stick a couple weeks in. Eggs don't stick, potatoes don't stick. I don't follow any "seasoning" procedures, I just use the pan for everything I cook, and it works. Not 100% light weight, but much lighter than the 12" Finex cast skillet I also use. I now use this daily. I also cook on All Clad, but I reach for carbon 99% of the time. Long story short, buy this skillet if you are interested high quality carbon steel. If you are carbon curious, Ikea has the best deal for baaaasic, Un-Seasoned, carbon pans. Give them a try, then buy this.

The best pan I have ever owned. This thing is a beauty and cooks like a dream. The team was amazing, shipping was super fast. I was on the fence about their cast iron pieces and now I am sure I am going to get one too.

Beautifully unique skillet, but wobbles and spins on a flat stovetop
I wanted to love this skillet given its unique design and how good it feels in hand, but when it comes to cooking, I just can't bring myself to use it because it doesn't sit flat on the stovetop. If you have a gas stove with grates, this likely won't impact you. For me, though, I spent this much money because I wanted a skillet that I could use for the rest of my life through different moves wherever I go. I prefer cooking with gas, but depending on where I live, that's not always an option. On a flat cooktop, the pan wobbles and spins, which makes it hard to use with the same peace of mind as my other cookware. In FINEX's defense, I don't see many others mentioning this issue, so my assumption is that my pan somehow fell through the cracks. That really sucks because everything else about it is great. The seasoning is much better than on other cookware I've purchased, and the pan responds nicely to temperature adjustments. The thumb groove on the handle is also comfortable, and even though flat carbon steel handles can take some getting used to, I found this one pretty approachable. Had it not been for the wobble, this would have been an easy five-star pan. Unfortunately, because it doesn't sit flat, it looks like it'll end up sitting on my shelf rather than being used for cooking.
