Where have you been?

This is by far the most comfortable pack I have ever used!! There is no pain on my shoulders or hips. The way the hip belt tightens easily and the hip belt and the new pad on the back leaves no pressure points. The way it fits my body feels like I have no backpack on at all. Extra material allows for a great roll and fasten at the top. Wow I don’t know if I can say enough about this pack🎉

Simply Excellent

Bought this pack a while ago but have recently started using it more when I have overnight trips. Over the last year I’ve bought probably 10 packs in the 40-60 liter range (I have a real problem..) and I just keep going back to this pack. I love its simplicity, so many packs in this volume range are over engineered with way too many straps or unnecessary pockets. I’m not an extreme UL packer so my full load weight will range from 18-25lb when I’m out for a couple of nights and this feels great on my back. I love how accessible the water bottles are compared to other packs I have, shoulder pockets are great, and the mesh front pocket holds a lot of gear. About the only thing it’s missing is a bottom pocket like on the Wapta. I like the concept of the small side pocket but in reality it loses a lot of functional space when you put gear into the pocket above it. Overall this is a great pack and like all of the other Durston gear seems well made, highly recommend.

So far, so good!

After getting this pack, I had a hard time getting it fit right, but fortunately some very helpful people on reddit helped me get the fit locked in. After getting it set up, I took my x-mid 2 out in some pretty serious snow, and both the kakwa and the tent held up phenomenally, even in wet conditions. I am very excited to continue using my pack in the upcoming seasons!
