Durston
In my 75 years I've never experienced customer service like I have from Shayne at Durston. He provided expert advice on everything from free standing vs pole supported, technical fabric info, how to use various guy line tensioners, simple knots that may come handy during the pitch, big rock/little rock and stick subs for difficult to stake terrain and more. I've pitched the X Mid Pro several times but have yet actually taken it on the trail yet. If the tent performs anything like the customer service I've experienced, it will be second to none.

A great product
I did a lot of research and came to a few disappointments for a tent which is long enough for me. I am 6'7" and most tents are too short. Enter the Durston Mid-1 where I had about 12 inches after the bottom of my bag and my head wasn't cramped against a tent side. Great ventilation and my first trip was at 8300ft about 40f and 15kt winds. Slept like a baby with little noise. The bug net is great to keep the tent ventilated well and it kept the bugs out. Nice to keep my pack under the outer cover too. I purchased with a fitted ground cover. A great product and I look forward to my next trip soon.

Checked every box
As many of you probably have been doing, I read and researched SO MANY ultra light 1 person tents, and kept coming back to this one. Finally decided, it was worth a try. I have not had it for long, but have taken it on 3 different treks, with one of those trecks being in the snow. It has performed exactly as advertised. Pitched easily 1st time (I watched Dan's pitching video in advance and followed exactly what he said.) In the bad weather, I enjoyed having the two different vestibules. One for my wet dirty gear I did not want in the tent, and the other for cooking in. I am glad I pulled the trigger to give it a shot. Great tent. Great weight. Great protection. I was a skeptic, but now I am a believer.
