Thoughts of a wild camping Bear!
My names Jasper and I'm a Bear. I'm actually from Jasper in Canada but now I live on Dartmoor in England. I'm a wildcamping mascot who goes hiking, camping, hammocking and Tarping with my clan of Mummy, Daddy and Pooh. My Daddy has wanted an X Mid 2 Solid for quite a while. After lots of research (and clearance from mummy!), he finally ordered one. As a Bear, I have to say it's amazing!! Better than expected to be honest. We watched the really informative pitching video about 50 times, did a couple of practice pitches and took it out for our first camp this weekend. It went up fairly easily and with more practice, will be better. The amount of space in it was bigger than we thought and thanks to the mixed bag of weather we had, we definitely gave it a good test. Sun, rain and wind in 24hours (a typical Dartmoor day!). If your thinking about an X Mid, my advice is stop thinking and start buying. You will not regret it. My two very minor moans are that it would be good if the 2 zips on the outer had different colour tags like the inner and that we couldn't get Dan Durston to sign the stuff bag. My Daddy says he's the GOAT. Not sure what he means but apparently it's a good thing! We try to be as light as we can, but as a Bear, I bring life, laughter and conversation to those we meet along the way. N.B: I'm hoping the above review brings a smile to those that read it. Sometimes it's about saving every gram you can, but sometimes it's about the things that make you smile. We love our new Durston and are really happy with it. A truly amazing tent that ticks all our boxes. Thank you for your exceptional customer service and responses to the questions I had before purchase. We will definitely be buying more from a company that cares so passionately about its customers. You definitely need to do hats though.....

Better Than Expected
I’m not really one to leave reviews, but I was thoroughly impressed with the X-Mid 2. Set up was a breeze, everyone in camp was jealous. The rain was miserable throughout the duration of our trip in the High Uintas and yet we stayed totally dry. I can’t wait for our next adventure next week in Wind Rivers to test it once again! Don’t think twice, just go for it, it will exceed your expectations.

Very lightweight, great to pack
Backpacked about 26 miles with this in Alaska, very lightweight, easy to pack, enjoyed having another use for my trekking poles as well. Only thing is that it’s not very rain proof, had to cross 2 rivers for the trip and unfortunately it got soaked— didn’t really dry that well afterwards but oh well. It’s also very fast and easy to set up thankfully.
