The Stealth Fountain Pen

The pens are magnificent tools, I’ve really enjoyed the larger headed red fountain pen, but the sleek black varieties in medium fine and and extra fine are my absolute favorite. Nothing makes you want to write like a new pen!

Pleasantly surprised.

I have loved fountain pens forever. I buy a new pen and within a few days it ends up in the drawer with all the others… the nib clogs, the ink doesn’t flow. A month in, the stealth is still my daily use pen! Thank you - I love it! I have already given my husband one.

The Steath - it sneaks up on you.

I have ordered multiple of these pens. Not because they are poorly designed, but because I'm a clutz. The first took a fall and crushed the nip. The second one had its ink insertion catch break due to constant use (like 2+ years of constant, semi-daily use), as a result the ink cartridges and provided funnel for your own inks wouldn't hold and couldn't get feed into the nib. I bought a full replacement pen without realizing I could just order replacement nibs which this feeder I'm referring to is built into - but I still have no regrets in purchasing this model multiple times. My only one complaint comes from a design flaw that most every fountain pen in existence shares and that is regular removal of the cap eventually wears down the metal hasp built into the handle that it clicks on which secures it when it is closed. If Ellington can figure out some way to keep metal fatigue and erosion at bay such that the cap doesn't run the risk of falling off unexpectantly after 2+ years of regular, constant, daily use they will have nailed the perfect fountain pen and product. The pen itself is made of either high grade aluminum or decent steel, which means if closed up it can take a beating. Which is great if you're a clutz like me. The cap has a counter-weight built into it which means it balances perfectily in your hand regardless of how you like to grip your pen. The overall pen itself has a weight to it that you can feel and gives a kind of meaning to your writing that a regular ball-point, gel, or rollerball pen will not give you. It makes you feel as though you are actually creating something even if you are just taking notes.
