I need instructions!

My new pencil (Alpine Rose to match my pen) feels and looks lovely. The only problem is that there were no instructions with it and I can’t find any on your website. The only way I can find to advance the lead is by taking it apart and that seems a very clumsy option for an elegant pencil and doesn’t feel right. Only 4 stars because I couldn’t find instructions. Because I couldn’t find an obvious way to advance the lead I am wondering if my pencil could be faulty?
