I've been struggling with the pen I was gifted. We all write uniquely and one nib doesn't always suit another person. I ordered a different nib and it arrived quickly and intact. Switching the nib was easy and the flow for me has been resolved. I'm using my pen very day now and I'm very happy.

Extra fine Nib purchase

I decided to switch out 5 of my Ellington Fountain pen nibs with Extra fine nibs, and I am pleased with how well the nibs write. It is still a smooth writing experience, but with a finer line. One of the things I appreciate about the Ellington Pen Company is that they stock replacement nibs. Regardless of the nib size you prefer, Ellington stocks the replacements. I own two Scriveiner Fountain pens, and my biggest complaint about them is they do not stock replacement nibs. In the USA, you need to order Schmidt replacement nibs from Jet Pens. To add to the problem, Scriveiner offers their fountain with an extra fine nib. But if you need to replace that nib, you can't because Jet Pens does not stock Schmidt nibs in extra fine. This why I now have 5 Ellington fountain pens and only 2 Scriveiner fountain pens.

Not a universal nib for thier branded fountain pens. I have multiple fountain pens from this company and never had a problem with any of my fountain pens but I wanted to change my nib size from EF to M and ordered a Nib replacment to discovered that the medium Nib does not fit onto the base or body of my fountain pen!
