Simply Fantastic Knife !!!
I have the older version of this knife in Monosteel. As a matter of fact, it was my first knife.
As time went on, I got more knives. I haven't used it lately, but I still have a lot of respect for it. It was the first knife I had.
I had a lot of fun chopping vegetables with it, a lot of fun. And yes, the only thing that I have ever used it for is for chopping vegetables. It is like a long nakiri knife with a curve to it. I had hoped that one day I would find the same shape of blade in the SG2, and I was very happy when I saw that Yaxell had released it.
This knife is a bit heavy. About 270g. The balance point is one inch from the handle to the blade. It is as comfortable as the monosteel version.
Usually the fit and finish on factory made knives is good. This one is no exception.
I showed it to my co-worker. He bought it right away.
