good first impression
I am coming from Superior Drummer (which became oversized for me since I have real drums now), and BFD seems to suite my needs now. At the sale price it's surely worth it. Only gripe is the verification when starting it up for the first time (I hope), where it feels like inMusic is scanning my whole system...

Highly recommend
I purchased the plugin with some doubts because I really like working with SSD 5.5 (mainly the free version kits), and wow - this plugin allows for crazy flexibility and very excellent control over the sound of the drums, good presets ready for recording and production, very precise control over mic bleeds, room microphones, an internal mixer with effects... In addition, I highly recommend the extensions: Jazz Nior (for jazz), Vintage Recording Techniques (For very realistic, raw and professional sound).
