BFD Heavy delivers focused, mix-ready heavy-rock/metal drum tones (but very usable in many other areas, including Jazz for example) built from two Yamaha kits, an 18"x22" kick, nine toms, and a Jimmy Chamberlin signature snare (4 versions), with sticks/mallets and felt/wood beater options; the expansion includes multiple ambient and direct mic channels (overheads, room, Amb3, kick in/out/resonant, snare top/bottom/side) so you can shape everything from tight punch to roomy heft. The pack was recorded with high-quality mic/preamp chains giving realistic dynamics and detailed velocity layers ideal for heavy productions. Excellent !!!

Very impressive

I have most of the BFD Expansions and was pleasantly surprised that this instanatly distinsguished itself among my top choices for rock. Very impressive sound and like all BFD products, one of the more natural sounding kits.

Not too bad on discount price

I don't see myself using this everyday, but it has a few nice sounds and for the discount price it may be worth getting.
