My First Choice

I own several other dynamic EQs, but this one has become my first choice (along with SSL Native X-EQ 2 for static EQ) because it allows for the fastest workflow. The sound quality is as great as expected.

Great EQ

Bought this EQ recently after having used the SSL EQ. I've just used it on a vocal channel as a de-esser, and it worked great. What I like about the SSL EQs is that you can really hear the differences - it has a really clear and instant sound.

I can shape a resonance, make it dynamic, assign it to Mid or Side, and dial in attack and release in seconds, all in one place. There’s no need to stack plugins or overthink the process. It sounds incredibly clean, too. Even when I make bold moves, the audio stays natural and intact, which is exactly what I want from a modern dynamic EQ. But the real win is the workflow: fast, intuitive, and deep when I need it. It doesn’t change my sound by itself. it just lets me reach exactly the sound I have in mind.
