adds varity to my fueling strategy
I dont like the consistency of most traditional gels and chews get stuck in my teeth. As a result this has meant i would get my carbs via a drink mix. Clearly it is still sweet, ( after all the main ingredient is maple syrup), but the flavors are different enough to make it a welcome break from my drink mix. Additionally since i can supplement my carb via these gels it allows me to make my drink just a touch less sweet. A win-win! The only downside is the same as every other gel i tried, finding a comfortable and efficient method for removing all of the product from the packaging ;)

Untapped Energy Gel - Twi Thumbs Up!!
I love using these as part of my fueling during ultramarathons. They're delicious, easy to use, and convenient at 100 calories (makes for easy fuel math 20 hours in!).

Great, natural taste!
These are possibly the best tasting gel out there. Tastes just like maple syrup (because it is) though a bit thinner in consistency which helps on the go. A couple of limitations to be aware of: they can make you a bit thirsty if not taken with water, and since there are a single-source sugar they may not be the best choice if you are trying to push upwards of 60g of carbs per hour.
