Bought as a gift, repurchasing for myself

I bought this for my mom as a Christmas gift and it is an amazing knife at a great price! It’s so easy to hold and a great all purpose knife for all levels. I’m buying one for myself now!

There are better options

I've been interested in these for years. They are almost iconic since you see them everywhere. Sadly I was not impressed. The knife is nimble and balanced well. But after some research the steel is unimpressive; basically a minor tweaking of 440B heat treated to 56-58 hrc. My Misen knives have better steel with a higher heat treat.
