While Global knives are generally lightweight, if someone is hesitant to use them because of that lightness, I would recommend the Global Heavyweight Chef’s Knife lineup. The length of the knife should be chosen based on the user’s needs, but for home use, I believe the 8.25” size is more than sufficient.

Nice knife! A true work horse. Thick and heavy but well balanced. Sharp as a razor out of the box. I think this will be my daily over the G2 and replacing my old Zwilling just fine.
