I won't say it has a bread texture but it is quite good. I don't like cornbread much but I told my husband that the texture was more like cornbread only much better, and to my surprise he (who loves cornbread) agreed that he liked this much better.

I use this for breakfast, toasted and buttered it is good. Great replacement for English muffins.
