Ooni Koda 2 Gas Powered Pizza Oven- 2nd Generation

Delicious Pizza

I bought this for my husband as a birthday/Father’s Day gift with my in-laws. My husband half joked about having a pizza oven after the Hammerbarn episode of Bluey. But this was a great pizza oven for our family of 6 (kids aged 8, 6, 3 years, and 7 months). As with anything new, figuring out the feel for how to use it was a new learning process but my husband has it down now. We were able to enjoy pizza last night in under an hour from oven warming up to sitting down as a family and eating. The Ooni Koda 2nd Gen has been wonderful to heat up the pizza quickly, create a beautiful crown on the dough, and leave our tastebuds delighted. I haven’t used it myself but I love how my husband has been able to connect the gas easily, dial up the heat to the right temperature, slide the pizza dough into the oven, use the pizza turning peel to adjust the pizza to the desired area, and pull it out to a beautiful pizza. I have nothing to compare it to, so you’ll just have to acknowledge our beginner state on pizza ovens. I would recommend this for anyone who wants a good pizza oven.

Simply Amazing!

I started with a wood fire ooni but we used it so much that eventually we had to replace it. I chose the gas powered oven because we entertain a lot and it's hard to keep the fire going for 8 pizzas in a row! The gas fire is easy and consistent and we can't wait to have some more pizza making parties!

I just need to figure out how to clean the rotating stone without throwing all the debris through the holes. Other than that, 10/10.
