I really enjoy these chews. They’re easy to eat quickly and the carb content is high for the amount you have to consume. The texture is similar to a marshmallow, making them easy to eat even when my mouth is dry. The flavor is subtle, I prefer the lemon to the mint but like them both. I’ve had up to 4 packets (8 chews) on one run and never experienced any stomach upsets.

PF 30 Chew

I have been experimenting with different chews for their ease of consumption during gravel races. The PF 30 in the original and the mint/lemon flavor both are easy on the stomach as far as being lighter in taste. They do have a slightly rougher texture than other gels. Of the gels I have used so far, (Enervit, SiS, Amacx and Amacx Turbo), the PF 30 is the hardest one to consume because there is a piece of cardboard in the wrapper. That said, it is largely effective and reasonably priced. I will be looking to try the PF 60 in the near future.
