Chain Waxing System - UK Plug

Newby to waxing and although not the cheapest option this works very well. Videos onsite made it an easy to follow process, and adding the strip chip and endurance chip is clearly explained.

Disappointed

Followed instructions to the letter and used additional 2 Endurance Chips in the standard wax. As per claims from the graphs this should give up to 30hrs riding. After 12 hrs in dry weather chain was dry and creaking. A further 3 weeks of persisting using 2 chains and top ups using liquid wax bottles I could still not get more than 12 hrs riding which for me meant changing the chain to a newly waxed one every 3-4 days. Sold my Silca package on eBay and have gone back to oiling chain. Easier, cheaper and less time to maintain. Clean chain once a week Takes 15 mins and oil last 1 week unless it gets wet. Then re-oil. Oil costs £12 and lasts 3 months. Waxing makes lots of claims but reality is a lot different to Silcas claims of duration of waxed chain before re-waxing
