Worth the money

I was tempted to buy a cheaper version of this but so glad I didn’t. This is a really quality bit of kit. Works exactly as it should and protects my customers’ bikes. Spot on.

My Park PRS 5 stand has the 100-5C clamp which I learned holds onto the Hirobel's hex shaft really good. I had to adjust the jaws down tight, real tight - but the bicycle will stay in place. After I got everything adjusted I left the hex shaft clamped in the jaws for several days, to let the rubber "form" to the hex shape. The first time I clamped my bike into it I thought that maybe I am going to have to do some modifications to keep the hex shaft from rotating in the jaws. Then, I realized that a bike would be safer & set better in a Hirobel if the top tube rest (or cones) are positioned with a slight upwards tilt. Hold the Hirobel by one of the cones and place it in your work stand's clamp. With the cones tilted very slightly upward look at the BOTTOM cushion from underneath the lower left hand side. Line up the right hand point of the hex to the right hand or rear most side of the 3/8" cable gap, right where it begins. The flat part of the hex should be spanning the cutout on the bottom jaw where it's made to allow any cables to pass thru. The "point" of the hex should just about align with the back/rear, of the 3/8" cutout. The two cones/cradles will be pointing very SLIGHTLY up - that is good. Adjust the clamp and git 'er TIGHT. The round part of the cushion on these older Park clamps really fits the hex's diameter pretty well, especially when they are tightly clamped. For safety, I want my frame cones/cradles slightly above the horizontal plane. Because these are nice deep cradles I just hang the bike, but it has good straps if needed. I adjust the screws on the cones/cradles so I can set them as needed. The bike's front to rear balance is MUCH better on a work stand when using the Hirobel clamp when compared to clamping on the seat post. The Hirobel Frame Clamp is a WINNER !!!

Best way to put your bike on a stand. As someone whose seat post isn’t that long, and I have a Garmin Varia mount, using the seat post is difficult. This gets rid of the problem all together
