Wahoo KICKR CORE 2 with Zwift Cog and Click

Easy Assembly and Set-Up

I purchased this as an upgrade for my five-year old Wahoo Kickr 5 with the objective of getting wi-fi connectivity and virtual shifting. Assembling the trainer was easy--all that was required was bolting on the two supper legs with the supplied hardware and Allen key. After updating the firmware for both the trainer and the Zwift Clicks getting everything connected also turned out to be quite simple. So far, I'm happy with the Kickr Core 2 in action. It took a bit of trial and error to find the best gear on the bike for positioning the chain in the Zwift Cog but once I got it dialed the unit is extremely quiet in operation. Virtual shifting takes a bit of getting used to (it's quite different than using a road bike's shifters) but it works well. Unlike my Kickr 5, the Core 2 lacks a handle, so it's a bit awkward to move. It is also lighter, so the flywheel is not quite as realistic as my Kickr 5, but is seems to be able to handle the range of situations I'm able to throw at it. We'll have to see if it turns out to be as durable as my Kickr 5, but at less than half the price with even a few good years, it will be a good value for the money.

Great trainer

I got this to replace my kicker that was over 10 years old. It was easy to set up. It is super quiet and works great. I highly recommend it.

Now works great with Rouvy virtual shifting feature

Great to hear about Rouvy and Zwift combination, as now the Zwift Click works seamlessly with Rouvy virtual shifting. I have had a Wahoo KICKR for many years but the updated Core 2 with Zwift Cog is even more awesome!
