I bought this fine tuner to replace an "identical" one for aesthetic reasons. It is definitely a well manufactured and machined piece of hardware. The geometry of the hook was very slightly different from the one I had and did not work very well with my tail piece. I ended using the base of my old one with the screws from this one. It came with two string protectors.

Ringy and good projection

I love this new fine tuner, it brings out the sound of my violin. It does not come with a string protector so you have to buy it to prevent your loop end string from breaking.
