Kentucky 74

Good stuff. Do halfsies!

I've been using 50/50 Kentucky 74/bourbon for several months now when making manhattans, and it works really, really well. Less alcohol intake, and still a truly tasty drink. I had been buying K74 from a not-too-conveniently-located store, so I decided to order direct. I'm a convert for sure.

I was so hopeful this item would suffice as a substitute, but alas it does not deliver. My son has enjoyed a shot of Jim Beam unadorned by even ice. He like it neat because the of its biting warmth as he twirls it in his mouth. While Kentucky 74 has a bite that warms, the flavor nearly gags as it hits the taste buds. I was really hoping to be able to write a positive review but even I did not find the taste pleasing to my pallet.

Does not even remotely taste like Kentucky Bourbon

I wanted to love this spiritless drink. I was so excited when I read the positive reviews. The product was disappointing and did not taste anything like bourbon. Way too sweet. I have to believe those who wrote positive reviews have never actually tasted bourbon before. I would love a refund.
