Hard apple cider

First time making hard cider as I usually only brew beer. Everyone loved it. It turned out exactly as predicted.

Smells terrible, tastes great

Don’t let the title fool you - all ciders stink. (Unless, you are drinking a commercial cider that has been specifically treated to remove the smell .) I’ve done a lot of cider over the years, from home brew recipes found on forums to kits and now this - basically an incomplete kit, but consistent. Cider is between beer and wine - easy to not feel overwhelmed, like beer, but sensitive fruit feelings that are easily hurt turning your brew into applejack or headache inducing tannin cocktails. Go with this, it’s simple, stable, and reliable - that’s what you want.

Didn’t know what to expect

I didn’t use the artificial sweetener I held back some of the cider concentrate to sweeten it which also allowed me to do a natural carbonation, but I’m impressed everyone that tried it kept coming back for more, so I will be purchasing it again. Seriously as long as you follow the directions it’s better than anything you’re going to find at a store
