Craft Hard Pear Cider Recipe Kit - Mangrove Jack's

Easy recipe for beginners

Have had a couple of ciders brewed before this kit. Easy directions. Of note, the directions included refer to using the Mangrove Jack bottling caps, which are separate. I did not have those, but used dextrose as a priming sugar with bottling as per calculation for 2 volumes of COs. This resulted in a nicely carbonated cider/perry, which even with bottled to a 64 oz growler still held carbonation for 2 days after initial opening. I used half the sweetener as instructed for a semi-sweet cider. I was glad I did not use the whole packet as I have found my preference is more toward the semi-sweet if not dry side. Overall, a decent mix with instructions that are easy to follow and provide a very drinkable beverage
