Quality will be remembered long after the price for these levers is forgotten. For those of us still riding with cable disc brakes and a healthy bank account, this is the long pull lever to have. Craftspersonship is impeccable, weight is negligible, and the lever stiffness is memorable with every ride.

Real fine, worth the cost.
I dislike praising one and knocking the other but here goes: I got the City Bike levers first for my Left Bank handlebars setup (great bars). I love the City Bike lever look, that long lever with that knob on the end; gorgeous! However, with my brakes anyway (Tektro R559) the brake feel was spongy, not precise. I decided to give the Grand Cru levers a shot. I wasn't enamored with the look of them compared to the City Levers but I hoped to get a better brake feel. So the same exact setup, same brakes, cables and housing. CityBike lever on the right side, Grand Cru on the left. Wow, what a difference, absolutely no play or sloppiness with the Gran Cru lever. Precise braking force (modulation), absolutely beautiful. With both Grand Cru levers on, out on the road or trail, just wonderful. I also have to say I have small hands and the lever reach adjustment really helps. The City levers do not have this reach adjustment capability. I added brake lever "gloves" on a whim. They're cheap and available everywhere. Now don't get me wrong, the City levers work - they will stop the bike and I'm sure I'll find a use for them (just not on my bike 😉).
